Pinner residents will be thrilled to hear that the world’s jolliest man will be making his way through the village’s streets this month, thanks to the help of Pinner Rotary Club.
From December 13 to 21, the club will be bringing the magic of Santa and his sleigh to Pinner. Now a popular Christmas tradition, Santa and his big red sleigh always attract crowds of children and adults wherever he goes.
As well as spreading Christmas cheer on the dark winter evenings, Santa’s elves will be collecting for Mind in Harrow, which supports young people with mental health issues; Purple Community Fund, which helps families out of poverty in the Philippines; and other Rotary-supported charities.
Committee leaders Steve and Glyn said: “This is our favourite event of the Rotary year. The anticipation on the children’s faces and the excitement as they hear the sleigh approaching makes all the hard work worthwhile.”
Dates and routes are available on the Rotary website at www.pinnerrotary.org.uk and on Facebook by searching ‘Pinner Rotary Club’. Each tour starts at 5.45pm and ends at around 8pm.
