Oliver Dowden CBE, MP for Hertsmere has been appointed as the Paymaster General by new Prime Minister Boris Johnson MP.
The MP joins 12 other new faces who have a seat at the Cabinet table after Boris Johnson MP appointed his Cabinet ministers.
Oliver Dowden CBE MP was David Cameron’s deputy chief of staff and backed Boris early in his contest for Number 10. Having been in that position he knows the Whitehall system very well.
He posted on his Facebook page: “Honoured and delighted to join the Cabinet as Minister responsible for the Cabinet Office and Paymaster General.”
