HELPING HAND: New Store to Door Service to support vulnerable and isolated Dacorum residents

Published on: 18th April 2020   |   By: Tim Green   |   Category: Uncategorized

Vulnerable and isolated residents in Dacorum who need support during the coronavirus pandemic can take advantage of a new service.

Community Action Dacorum (CAD)’s ‘Store to Door’ scheme sees volunteer drivers shop for and deliver to registered service users.

It has been supported by local business owners including Jake X who has donated seven boxes of latex gloves and sanitizer from his tattoo studio The Crooked Rook in Adeyfield, Hemel Hempstead.

The Crooked Rook has been a Dacorum based private tattoo studio since 2016 and offers bespoke designs by talented tattoo artists.

The gloves and sanitiser will be put to very good use by enabling the amazing Store to Door volunteers to shop and deliver to vulnerable people.

A CAD spokesman said the charity is extremely thankful to Jake X and all at The Crooked Rook.

If you know anyone who could benefit from the Store to Door service, would like to help by volunteering or have something of use that you would like to donate then please contact 01442 212888 or deborah@communityactiondacorum.org.uk
