A local charity recently held a quiz night in Bushey to raise funds to pamper women undergoing cancer treatment.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Michelle Mintz and Lorraine Maxwell assembled a group of 20 local volunteers to make sandwiches for NHS workers.
After realising the positive impact they had made, the pair set up the charity W.H.Y – We Help You – and have since worked on a variety of campaigns, including providing mobile defibrillators.
Now, the charity has turned its attention to pampering and caring for women going through cancer treatment.
Michelle said: “There is a lot of support out there for children with cancer but not much for women. We want to help women with cancer enjoy treats like hair, nails, pampering and reflexology.”
The sold-out quiz took place at The Three Crowns pub in Bushey on Thursday, February 22.
