Police in Hemel Hempstead are trying to find a male suspect after a teenage boy suffered a cut to his head.
The boy was injured outside a chicken shop in The Marlowes in the town centre at around ten to midday.
He was taken to hospital for assessment but his injuries are not currently being treated as life threatening.
A spokesperson for Hertfordshire police said: “Enquiries are continuing at this time to establish the circumstances around what happened and to trace a male suspect believed to have been involved in the incident.
“Anyone with information which could assist is asked to contact police.”
