Locals have their chance to share their views on parking as councillors have put forward a proposal that could see the introduction of resident-only parking restrictions.
Households in Bushey Village have been asked to share their thoughts on the proposal, and there has now been a second phase of public consultation on council proposals for a controlled parking zone.
The restrictions would protect parking spaces for people who live in the identified areas – and prevent their use by commuters and other visitors.
Previous proposals in 2022 were narrowly rejected. An initial survey earlier this year indicated that a majority are now in favour of the scheme.
Councillor Miles Ponder told Bushey News: “Our aim is to get residents the parking solutions they want, based on their support. We will closely study the final feedback with council officers before a decision is made.”
The consultation has been extended to Friday, September 5. Visit www.shorturl.at/9aLz9 to view the documents and send any comments via email to parking.policy@hertsmere.gov.uk
