HAPPY’S CIRCUS: Pinner pupils delighted as school welcomes circus to town

Published on: 13th July 2022   |   By: Holly Bullen   |   Category: Uncategorized

More than 1,000 people attended a fun-filled circus event at a Pinner school last month.

The event, which took place at Cannon Lane Primary School on June 21 and 22, centred around Happy’s Circus and featured magicians, acrobats and aerialists. There was also a range of food stalls and funfair rides on offer.

The event was organised by the chair of the Friends of Cannon Lane Parent Teacher Association (PTA) Richard Evans, parent member of the PTA Sital Galani, and PTA treasurer Payal Bhatia. Organisers also had a lot of support from headteacher Mr Alastair Phillips and school staff.

Richard said: “We held the event on two nights to maximise the people that could come. There was the circus, fairground rides, and food and drink.

“We sold out on both nights and the feedback we had from everyone was that they were surprised at how much they had enjoyed it. The parents had come for the kids but then ended up having a great time. A couple said it was like going back to when they were kids.”
