A popular coffee shop in Radlett will celebrate its first birthday with a party and community day this month.
Brass Monkey, located on Watling Street, turns one on March 11 and celebrations will take place that weekend including games, face painting, cake, and coffee, as well as a special birthday promotion.
Director Warren Lipman said: “It has been an incredible year and we have built a strong reputation around our quality coffee reaching far out of our Radlett village (having customers as far as London, Luton, and Crystal Palace!) along with our cherished regulars, famous and daily customers serving the heart of our community.
“Our customers have been so good to us that we want to give something back as a sign of our appreciation.”
Warren was inspired to open the shop last year after his Espresso machine broke at home. He discovered that there were no independent coffee shops in the village where he could get a decent cup of coffee.
Brass Monkey has become a celebrity hotspot, attracting the likes of Matt and Emma Willis, who dubbed the espresso as “the best” he’s had in his life.
