A man pleaded guilty today (Wednesday, May 31) to kidnapping and indecently assaulting two teenage girls 20 years ago.
Alec Housden, 59, of Kingsbury Gardens, Dunstable, admitted kidnapping and indecently assaulting a 16-year-old girl in Piggottshill Lane, Harpenden, on April 7, 2002.
He also admitted kidnapping and indecently assaulting a 17-year-old girl at the same location on June 19, 2002.
On April 24, 2023, he had pleaded not guilty to those four charges, but changed his pleas to guilty at St Albans Crown Court today.
Housden denies kidnapping a third complainant in the same area two years later on March 17, 2004.
Judge Francis Sheridan said a trial on the fifth charge will take place on September 11. He remanded Housden in custody.
