Leavesden Country Park has retained its status as one of the best in the country.
On Tuesday, July 16, environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy confirmed that the park had once again earned a Green Flag Award.
The award scheme recognises and rewards well-managed parks and green spaces across the United Kingdom and around the world.
Leavesden Country Park has also retained its Green Heritage Site accreditation, which is supported by Historic England, for the management of its historic features.
Nearby Rickmansworth Aquadrome also retained its Green Flag Award.
Emma Sheridan, Three Rivers District Council’s associate director for environment, said: “Leavesden Country Park and Rickmansworth Aquadrome retaining their Green Flag status is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our staff and volunteers.
“Our green spaces are very important to us and our residents, and that is why the council is committed to ensuring our parks and open spaces maintain this high standard.”
