Northwood picked up an excellent three points this afternoon as Jamie Leacock’s men grabbed their first away win of the season at Ashford Town.

The visitors got off to a dream start after Harry Lodovica stabbed home a cross to give the Woods an early advantage.

Although the equaliser gave the home side confidence, it was Northwood who went back in front after 39 mins when a fierce cross from Tyrone Pink saw Scott Weight turn the ball into his own net under pressure from Harry Lodovica.

In the second half, the Woods still had plenty to do to make the game safe and the visitors took a two goal lead with a debut goal from Eric Lopes after a cross from Holness on the hour mark.

That was the final score as the Woods moved off the bottom of the table.

The Woods are next in action on Tuesday night when they take on Uxbridge at the Acretweed Stadium.
