A five-year-old who attends Total TKD TaeKwon-Do in Chorleywood is the youngest boy ever to have been awarded a yellow belt.
We previously reported on Shaan’s achievements a couple of editions ago, when he received his yellow tag and he has now progressed to the next level.
Since then, Shaan, who lives in Croxley, has continued to impress everyone, in fact, on November 8 he beat another record.
His father, Nickin, spoke to ChorleywoodNews and expressed his excitement over his son’s achievements.
He said: “Sonal (wife) and I are extremely proud of Shaan. He has shown a great amount of focus by practising both his Korean theory and practical elements.
“His attitude towards wanting to achieve his yellow belt was lovely to see, especially during his theory where he was able to respond confidently.
“He received a Plus Pass in his grading, the highest grade that can be achieved. He has already started the next phase of his learning with Miss Kelly.”
In addition to passing his yellow belt grading with a Plus Pass, he also received a gold medal at the annual competition where he won best Chon-Ji in his category.
Shaan’s instructor, miss Kelly said: “Shaan was a very few who received a Plus Pass in his grading. His gold medal beating 15 other participants in his category, all much older than him displays the maturity, confidence and skill he has at his age”.
