From cakes to pies to treats galore, residents across Rickmansworth are marking their calendars for the return of the annual Big Lunch.
People are invited to enjoy food from market stalls or bring their own picnic to share. Inspired by the Eden Project’s Big Lunch in Cornwall, the event is about bringing the community together to share food, celebrate and enjoy what makes Batchworth and Rickmansworth great places to live.
Following last year’s huge success, Councillor Andrea Fraser shared: “Last year we saw people from right across the town come together in the town square, and we’re hoping to welcome even more this time.
“There will once again be live music, market stall traders selling food, and we’re also encouraging residents to bring along their own picnics. With bunting out and a great atmosphere, this is a fantastic way to celebrate our community, and we look forward to seeing everyone there.”
With the Big Lunch to be set for later this year, excitement is beginning to build, and it promises to be a feast for the whole community.
