A Year 4 pupil at Chalfont St Peter Church of England Academy had his online photo chosen out of more than 12,500 others to launch The People’s Picture project ‘Rainbows for the NHS’, capturing photographs of moments during the lockdown period since March.
Harry Marsh, nine, launched the project with artist Helen Marshall at Piccadilly Circus. The project lit up Piccadilly Lights screens for a week, creating a giant rainbow photo mosaic, highlighting stories from across the nation.
On July 5, the feature will appear nationally across multiple artworks to celebrate the 72nd birthday of the NHS.
Harry’s mum, Suzy Flood, said: “He’s been in lockdown shielding with me and he made this giant cardboard rainbow in the dining room. There was paint everywhere, and Harry did it to celebrate the NHS.
“We’re very proud of him, Harry was so excited to be part of this amazing project.”
