Abbots Langley boxer Shannon Courtenay has taken to social media to express her relief after coming away from a motorway crash unhurt.
The WBA World Female Bantamweight champion shared an image of her damaged Mercedes after the crash on the M25, which happened on the morning of Friday, June 18.
On Instagram, she captioned the photo: “Thank the lord I was able to walk away safely after my crash this morning.”
Later on, she added: “Thank you for everyone’s messages and calls. My phone hasn’t stopped.
“My car aquaplaned into the barriers on the M25, thankfully nobody else was involved and I’m okay.
“Thank you to the man that stayed with me and called an ambulance.
“And to all the people that drove past and instead of offering help they got their phones out and filmed it or took pics of me, give yourself a good talking to!”
Courtenay is set to defend her new title for the first time against an unannounced opponent on July 31.
