GRANTS AVAILABLE: Council cash still available for Abbots Langley groups

Published on: 25th October 2019   |   By: Jake Levison   |   Category: Uncategorized

Abbots Langley Parish Council (ALPC) is reminding local groups, clubs and organisations that it’s still offering small grants to applicants until the end of the current financial year.

The council is still giving out grants up to £250 to Abbots groups until March 31, 2020, but all its larger financial grants have been used up until the next financial year. Groups can, however, already apply for larger grants for next year on the ALPC website.

ALPC has given out £1,000 worth of small grants this year: £250 to the Autumn Fest to support the cost of staging the event at School Mead; £250 to the Abbots Langley Transition Town Association to support the cost of purchasing litter picking equipment and other activities; £250 to the Abbots Improvement Group (AIMS) to support the cost of purchasing equipment to support the volunteers’ gardening projects and £250 to Abbots Langley Carers to support the cost of putting on a day out for carers.

More than £40,000 overall has also been given to other local causes through financial grants this year, the majority of which went to The Henderson Hub in support of the development of the hall as a community resource.

Small grant resources are running out fast, so if you’d like to apply, go to abbotslangley-pc.gov.uk/grants-how-to-apply/

The above link can also be used for the larger grants.
