Published on: 23rd June 2021   |   By: Holly Bullen   |   Category: Uncategorized

Croxley residents had an early wake up call last month after a police helicopter aided officers combating vehicle thefts in the village.

On the morning of June 23 Team D from Three Rivers Police were called to the village after reports of two people trying to get into cars.

After a quick response assisted by Watford Police, the team arrested one person in connection with the incident.

Three Rivers Police posted on their Facebook page to explain the early morning disturbance to residents.

They wrote: “With the help of Watford Police we have identified multiple vehicles we believe were targeted and have arrested one person in connection with this, as well as a theft of a car from a separate day in Watford, which we found parked up nearby.

“Some of you may have been woken up by the helicopter that assisted us, this was to aid our search covering a large amount of ground including areas we would not be able to readily gain access to in a much quicker time.”
