GONE FOR GOOD: Dome Roundabout Pizza Hut closes- but replacement is already on the way

Published on: 26th December 2021   |   By: Bryn Holmes   |   Category: Uncategorized

The long-standing Pizza Hut on the Dome Roundabout has finally closed its doors for the last time.

The signs have now been taken down and all traces of the chain has been removed from the American fast-food chain’s website.

The only Pizza Hut that remains in Watford now is the recently opened smaller Express restaurant close to the new extension of Watford’s ‘atria’ shopping centre.

The building won’t stay empty for long though, as Canadian sandwich chain Tim Horton’s will be opening inside soon.

This is after Watford Borough Council approved the company’s planning application for the site in September.

Tim Horton’s has been a beloved Canadian franchise since 1964, and serves freshly made sandwiches, coffee and milkshakes as well as burgers and doughnuts.

Though an opening date has yet to be confirmed, customers will be able to eat inside the restaurant or get a takeaway via a walk-in or a drive thru.
