The unmistakable smell of fresh apples filled the air as hundreds of families came together to create Croxley’s very own apple juice.
Using fruit from the historic Stones Orchard, the event on Sunday, September 14, brought history to life as people picked apples straight from the trees, washed and chopped them, before scratting and pressing them into golden juice.
Stones Orchard has been part of Croxley life for generations. Once a working orchard supplying local markets, it is now preserved as a treasured green space.
The juices pressed on the day quickly found their way into residents’ fridges.
A spokesperson for Croxley Green Parish Council said: “Thank you to everyone who came along, rolled up their sleeves, and made it such a joyful celebration of local harvest and community spirit.”
Visitors also praised the event, with one saying: “Thank you, another great event and so lovely to see so much support.”
Another added: “We had a great time. Thank you to all that put this on and were helping.”
