Chalfont St Peter found themselves 1-0 after just ten seconds away against Waltham Abbey this afternoon and after the home side doubled their lead with 13 minutes on the clock, the Saints had it all to do.
They were 3-0 down after 18 minutes.
Although Waltham Abbey eased off the gas, they notched two further goals before half time.
Just ten minutes after the restart, it was six of the best for Waltham Abbey as they went further ahead from the penalty spot.
After 65 minutes, Harry Lodovica netted what looked like a consolation.
After Luke Illsley , Waltham Abbey and Lodovica netted again before full time to make the final score 7-3, the Saints Twitter account had an optimistic outlook on the second half.
And we win the second half….you get a point for that….right?
Thanks very much for your support today and safe journey home.
