Most young footballers can only dream of playing for their country or a Premier League side, but Pinner footballer Lewi Richards has made this dream a reality.
The 16-year-old defender began his career with Parkfield Youth FC in Pinner aged five, before being scouted by Chelsea.
Richards is now moving up the ranks in the English U18 Premier League.
The young footballer has played in several crucial games for the Chelsea U18 team, who now sit in a comfortable seventh spot in the UPL table as PINNERnews goes to print.
Richards has also played a significant role in the England U17 team’s UEFA European U17 Championship campaign. He recently returned from Malta, having played in a spellbinding 4-0 win against the Malta U17 team with England and playing a firm role in the team’s clean sheet.
His former Parkfield Youth FC coach Ali Jobe said: “Always believe in your dreams; from Parkfield Youth FC to England U17’s playing in Malta for your country against Sweden, Latvia and Malta.
“Lewi Richards is proof that if you have a dream and are willing to work, train, and develop yourself, you can achieve your goals. The story continues.”
