The Morrisons Foundation has made a large award to One Vision charity, to help them provide additional services and support to the vulnerable this Winter to help them with the cost-of-living crisis.
The choice between eating and heating is a dilemma already being faced by two in five of us — even before soaring fuel and food prices come into effect.
One Vision is a community charity which provides practical support to vulnerable individuals and families in the district of Watford and beyond. Support is provided to those who self-identify as needing relief as a result of inequalities caused by food poverty and social deprivation. From fresh meals and food parcels to mental health signposting services.
Enoch Kanagaraj, founder and CEO said: “We are delighted to be partnering with Morrisons Foundation”. One Vision anticipates giving out 10,000 fresh meals and 6,000 Grocery bags this winter period, 2000 of which will be for children. The Morrisons Foundation’s Eat or Heat grant will go a long way to help continue our support of people in desperate need across Watford, Three Rivers, Hemel Hempstead and parts of St Albans.
Adrian Horsley, Morrisons Foundation Advisor said: “The soaring cost of living crisis means it’s more difficult than ever for families in hardship to eat well. That’s why I’m very proud to that the Foundation has been able to provide this grant to One Vision charity to help them to continue to provide vital meals and support to people most in need in our community.”
Harjit Singh DL, Chair of Trustees of One Vision charity said: “It is thanks to supporters like the Morrisons Foundation, that we are able to continue to support the vulnerable and families who regularly skip meals, and children in particular.”
