Published on: 23rd September 2022   |   By: Darius Morgan   |   Category: Uncategorized

A St Albans community group that focuses on improving the lives of retirees is calling for new members to join.

Chiswell Green U3A (University of the Third Age) meetings are held once a month at Greenwood Park Community Centre.

Guest speakers often frequent the club to lead talks on all sorts of interesting subjects. There are also smaller interest groups held in halls, homes and outdoors for members to enjoy pastimes and interests they have in common.

There are currently some 50 interest groups, including arts, dance, yoga, foreign languages, walking, sailing, trips, and visits.

Chairman Adrian Wilson said: “If you find there isn’t a group you would like to join, you can easily start a new one and we shall support you.

“If you’re not sure about joining, come along to one of our main meetings from 10am to 12pm on the first Thursday of the month to see what we’re about before you decide. We’d love to see you.”
