Local residents can now stay active, fit and healthy for free as a new outdoor gym has been installed in Leavesden Country Park by Three Rivers District Council (TRDC).
The new outdoor fitness zones offer a mix of varied equipment, including magnetic bells, pull-up bars, and suspension trainers, to suit people of all ages and abilities.
Residents can also use the free KOMPAN Outdoor Fitness app to unlock free advice and guided workouts at the new gym.
The gym is part of an initiative that has also seen equipment installed in Rickmansworth Aquadrome, King George V Playing Fields, South Oxhey Playing Fields, and Baldwins Lane Playing Fields.
Councillor Chris Lloyd, TRDC’s lead member for leisure, said: “I am delighted to see our award-winning parks have new outdoor fitness zones that are free for everyone to enjoy.
“Although our much-loved parks already provide great opportunities for people to keep active, these new outdoor fitness zones encourage free fitness and accessibility for everyone.”
