Members of Abbots Langley Bowls Club are gearing up for the new season, set to start in early May.
The winter months have seen the club’s Langley Road headquarters redecorated and deep cleaned in preparation for the summer. Works are also ongoing to ready the green and surrounding areas.
Club secretary Steve Tincknell said: “These works have benefited from a generous grant from Abbots Langley Parish Council, which the club were delighted to receive.”
The club are hoping to host drop-in sessions for anyone who wishes to try out a new activity from early May. These sessions will commence at 6pm.
The club will also be supporting Bowls England in their Big Bowls Weekend once again by holding an open day from 12pm to 4pm on Saturday, May 24. Coaching will be available on the day, and light refreshments will also be served.
If you’re interested, visit the club on match days or Tuesday evenings, or get in touch via email at sec.albc@gmail.com. The club can be found behind the Scout hut in Langley Road.
