Justice Secretary David Gauke MP says Brexit must be delayed if a deal cannot be agreed before the United Kingdom leaves the European Union on March 29.
Writing in the Daily Mail with Work and Pensions Secretary Amber Rudd and Business Secretary Greg Clerk, Mr Gauke MP said he believes a deal is vital to avoid long-term damage to the economy, weakening national security and putting the integrity of the United Kingdom at risk.
The trio are calling on their Conservative Brexiteers to back Theresa May ‘s deal.
The article concludes: “It is time that many of our Conservative parliamentary colleagues in the ERG recognised that Parliament will stop a disastrous No Deal Brexit on March 29. If that happens, they will have no one to blame but themselves for delaying Brexit.”
