Garston teacher excited about new novel

A popular author who works at a Garston school is excited about his fourth novel which was released last month.

Karl Vadaszffy is the head of English at St Michael’s Catholic High School and is thrilled with his new legal, psychological thriller novel The First Lie.

The First Lie is about a women who kills an intruder in her house and her husband, who is an experience lawyer, helps her cover up the crime to protect her and the couple deal with the repercussions throughout the court process. 

Karl explained: “It is the first mainstream book I have written. I have three other novels but this is my debut novel writing as A.J Park which I am excited about. 

“It is really current and is a page turner – I wanted to try and do something which is thrilling, which is going to make people read on when they plan not to.”

Prior to writing as A.J Park, Karl released three novels which were very successful. The Missing was twice a top ten best seller in the UK and was a number one bestseller in Australia. 

Alongside the book writing, the St Michaels teacher says working at the school is great. 

He said: “It is a very successful school which is full of good, hardworking students. We are dealing with challenging educational circumstances as schools but we are working well.”

The novel was released last month as an eBook, audio book and large format paperback and will be in available as a regular paperback in March 2020.

Karl is planning to release his second novel as A.J Park in March 2021 which he is working on now.
