The team at Chorleywood Beaumont Care Home in Chorleywood recently presented Luton Shopmobility with a cheque for £1,000 on behalf of Barchester’s Charitable Foundation.

The team welcomed Sue Bolton, vice-chair, and Dixie Kightley, treasurer, to a breakfast spread and a tour of the home.

Luton Shopmobility is an independent voluntary organisation that provides a daily loan service of manual wheelchairs and electric scooters.

Harrold Tasker, the homes’ resident ambassador, said: “I was very pleased to be able to present to Luton Shopmobility with a cheque for £1,000 from Barchester Charitable Foundation as I know the money is going towards a good cause. Mobility equipment can be expensive so it is great Barchester’s charity is able to support local people with disabilities, because everyone deserves to live well.”

Wayne Hughes, senior general manager at Chorleywood Beaumont, said: “We are always keen to show as much support as we can to local charities, and Barchester’s Charitable Foundation has made a big difference to many people all over the country improving lives one grant at a time.”

Chorleywood Beaumont Care Home is run by Barchester Healthcare, one of the UK’s largest care providers, which is committed to delivering personalised care across its care homes and hospitals.

Chorleywood Beaumont provides residential care, nursing care and dementia care for 55 residents from respite care to long term stays.

The home has built up excellent reputations within its local community, regularly holding events and activities for residents and surrounding neighbours.
