Three people have been arrested in Garston after a man was reportedly seen with a firearm.
Police were called at just after 1.20pm on Saturday, November 12, to reports that a man with a firearm was seen damaging a vehicle on Watford Road, Hunton Bridge.
The individual in question was then seeing fleeing the scene in a silver Mercedes, which was later stopped near the Dome roundabout in Garston.
A 27-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.
He was also arrested on suspicion of possession of class A drugs and given a caution for this offence.
A 43-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm and criminal damage.
A 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm and possession of an offensive weapon.
Armed response officers carried out a search of the area, with assistance from the dog unit, the National Police Air Service and road policing officers.
The men have been released on police bail while enquiries continue.
