Published on: 27th January 2020   |   By: Geraint Roberts   |   Category: Uncategorized

The Rotary Club of Radlett is planning to hold its highly popular Fun Run on Bank Holiday Friday, May 8.

The run will be 5km long for those seven years of age and over, including adults, and will start at 10:30am.

There will also be two races which will enable everyone to participate, and a shorter run of 1.5km for those under the age of 11 will start for 10am that morning.

The event will support rotary charities and their specially nominated charity, ‘Hertsmere Mencap’.

Both runs will be held at the Tabard Rugby Club’s grounds and will be totally off-road and will involved running through the cricket club rounds, making five fields in total.

The run has been designed for everyone, including seasoned runners, regular and occasional joggers and for novices/walkers.

The cost to enter is £10 for the 5km event and £5 for the shorter run, but they are asking for £2 extra for entries made on the day.

There will be medals for all finishers, as well as trophies for the winners and prizes will be presented by Rotary Club president David Rose, together with councillor Alan Plancey, the Mayor of Hertsmere and councillor Garry Walton, chairman of Aldenham Parish Council.

Entry forms for the Fun Runs will be available from various places, including the Radlett Parish Office, or can be downloaded from naglersimmons.co.uk.
