Watford residents are invited to experience all the fun of the farm at an upcoming open day later this month.
Cassiobury Farm once formed part of the grounds of Cassiobury House, and over the last decade has been transformed into a 15-acre wildlife haven.
At the farm’s open day from 10am to 5pm on Monday, August 25, visitors will have the chance to see a variety of rare breeds and exotic animals. This includes pygmy goats, reindeer, Soay sheep, dingoes, llamas, capybara, red kangaroos, meerkats, raccoon dogs, squirrel monkeys, binturong, civets and lots more.
Visitors may even be able to glimpse the farm’s American bison calf and zebra foal, born just last month.
There will also be a bouncy castle, face painting, fishing, crazy golf, mini-tractor rides, pedalos and animal encounters. Refreshments will be available from the BBQ station and snack shop.
