A Bushey resident is helping to support pet owners across the community who may be struggling to afford pet food.
Linda Trup decided to set up her own pet food bank amidst the cost-of-living crisis and has been supporting families by putting the word out on social media.
So far she has collected food, treats, collars, beds and toys and distributed them to a good home.
Speaking to BusheyNews, Linda said she first decided to help when she saw families fleeing Ukraine with their pets.
She said: “With the cost-of-living crisis it’s difficult to get pet food, shelters are filling up because people can’t afford to look after their pets.
“People have been really generous so far.”
Linda is also offering to paint pet portraits to raise money to be used to buy pet food for families in the community.
