Actor and former footballer Vinnie Jones reminisced on his love for Croxley during his recent appearance on BBC’s The One Show.
Vinnie spoke to hosts Alex Jones and Roman Kemp on the show on Thursday, November 16, in the light of his new series of Vinnie Jones in the Country, in which he renovates a large farmhouse in West Sussex.
Alex and Roman asked Vinnie where his love for the countryside came from, which led to a trip down memory lane for Vinnie.
Reminiscing on his love for nature, Vinnie said: “When we were 12 or 13, we’d go night fishing down the canal, me and my mates, and walk from Croxley to Watford, and [see the] birds nesting, all through the woods and everything, so it came from there really.
“And country pursuits, and fly fishing which I learnt from 10 years old. This was kind of [to] show that people haven’t really seen this side of me.”
The episode of The One Show is available to watch on iPlayer and Vinnie Jones in the Country is available on Discovery Plus.
