Croxley Green Baptist Church are saying thank you and goodbye to minister Dave Gregory, who is retiring from church ministry after 12 years of service.
The church was full for a special celebration service on April 24 at 10.30am, followed by a farewell lunch to bid farewell to Dave and wife Carolyn. The service was well attended with members of the Croxley community wishing the pair the best for their future endeavours.
Dave told CroxleyNews: “We have loved living in Croxley Green and being part of Croxley Green Baptist Church has been very special. I have had two wonderful colleagues, Lisa and Jon, over the past nine years. It’s a church where so many are generous with their time and energy in serving the local community and sharing Jesus with many people.”
While at Croxley Green Baptist Church, Dave also served as the national President of the Baptist Union for a year. He also developed Messy Church Does Science, helping families explore faith using simple science experiments and is known as Dr Dave.
He added that he will stay active in Baptist life leading the Baptist Union Environment Network (BUEN) helping churches, schools, and community groups respond to the climate and environmental crisis.
