Golf lovers may have to find a new local haunt as an application has been submitted to convert a Bushey driving range into offices.
On September 1, Aygul Boyraz Architecture (ABA) applied for permission to change the use of the Bushey Golf & Country Club driving range into an office space.
ABA state that the current tenant’s lease is on the verge of expiration.
They said: “The golf range is currently in an extremely poor condition, requiring considerable refurbishments. Our vision for the transformed space includes a design that complements the surrounding landscape and enhances the overall appearance of Bushey Country Club. By converting the golf range into modern office space, we aim to contribute to the club’s overall attractiveness to members and visitors.”
The applicants are keen to work in collaboration with the country club to ensure a seamless transition and reiterate the importance of maintaining the club’s integrity and character.
The club has been contacted for comment.
