Film makers to shift focus to village hall

Published on: 8th September 2016   |   By: The Newsdesk   |   Category:

A local group of amateur film makers have moved their meeting venue to Pinner as they aim to expand.

Harrow Film Makers gather to make all sorts of films as professionally as possible and meet every other Monday evening at the Pinner Village Hall.

The group show off their films to the public at twice yearly shows, which will also be hosted at the village hall. This autumn’s show will be on Tuesday, September 27, at 8pm, and will be part of Pinner Arts Week.

The night will showcase films the group has made jointly or individually over the past year. Included will be a film about the restoration of the Great Barn at Headstone Manor, and the annual newsreel, a roundup of events over the past year around Harrow.

The newsreel will feature such Pinner events as the Panto and the sight of 200 Santas dashingthrough the streets and Memorial Park in aid of St Luke’s Hospice.

Hear more about the group, and more, in the September edition of My Pinner & Hatch End News, which will be distributed on September 16.
