Abbots Langley pro-boxer Shannon Courtenay is now preparing for her first ever world title fight which will take place on April 10 against Rachel Ball, whom she was defeated by back in August last year.
The defeat was the first of her professional career, but now has the chance to put things right in a bout that will be broadcasted live on Sky Sports for the vacant WBA female super-bantamweight title.
The Baby Face Assassin was due to fight on February 13 but has scrapped that to go straight into the rematch with Ball.
In a Facebook post confirming the fight, she said: “Me and my team have decided that rather than having the in between fight on February 13, the best thing to do is go straight into the world title fight on April 10.
“Now all our hard work, focus and energy can go into a training camp to make sure I do everything possible to become world champion. Time to make a dream come true.”
