FESTIVE TREAT: Tree trail set up to charm village

Published on: 12th December 2021   |   By: Bryn Holmes   |   Category: Uncategorized

Chalfont St Giles Parish Council (CSGPC) have set up a Christmas tree trail, currently dazzling denizens of the village.

The circular trail has ten trees, each one decorated by a local charity or community organisation. A contest to determine the residents’ favourite tree will award the group that decorated it a cash prize.

The route starts at Blizzards Yards car park in the centre of the village, but the route can be joined at any point. On average, it should take between 30 to 40 minutes to get around, with a length of around three kilometres.

Councillor Jane Chamberlain who organized the event for CSGPC said, “The Christmas Tree Trail is designed to spread Christmas cheer throughout the village.

Many of our local charities and community groups have struggled through the last 20 months and this event will raise their profile as well as creating a fun event for everyone to take part in.”

The trail will remain in place until 5 January 2022. Maps can be found at each tree and can be downloaded to your smart phone using a QR code.
