FAB FROZEN FILMS: Drama teacher from Berkhamsted raises money for NHS with Princess Anna videos

Published on: 13th July 2020   |   By: Rhea Cheramparambil   |   Category: Uncategorized

A drama teacher from Berkhamsted is raising money for the NHS by dressing up as Princess Anna from Frozen on her Facebook page.

Claire Charlotte creates videos of herself dressed as Princess Anna for free with donations to her JustGiving page encouraged.

She got inspiration for the idea two weeks into lockdown, when she found her “Anna costume knocking around.”

She said: “There was a big drive for PPE and Clap for the NHS and I thought this was the right time to fundraise for them because clearly it’s on the forefront of everyone’s mind and we are being made aware of how important they are.”

Talking about her donation goal, she said: “We just passed it. It was £1,000 and now we are at £1,100. Initially I thought it was too high, so we made it £100 but then we passed that, so we swapped it back to £1,000.”

Speaking about the future of her videos, she said: “With summer holidays coming and restrictions lifting, kids will be going to birthday parties soon. The whole point of this was for children who couldn’t have birthday parties.

“I started to leave messages saying I’m going to stop but then I got a surge of new messages in. So as long as there is still a demand for it, I’ll continue.”

You can get in touch with Claire through her Facebook page, ‘Princess Anna by Claire’, where her JustGiving page is also linked.
