Staff members at St Clement Danes School in Chorleywood are excited to announce they have launched a new 3G football pitch.

The pitch was launched on site earlier this summer and staff members have expressed how grateful they are to have received a grant to help make this happen.

A spokesperson from the school said: “We are delighted to announce the launch of our brand-new state of the art LED floodlit 3G Artificial Grass Pitch (AGP).

“The pitch has been a long time in the planning and the school is extremely thankful to have been awarded the grant to help complete this project by the Premier League and The FA Facilities Fund (PL/FA:FF).”

The Anchor Fund and the St Clement Danes Parents’ Association also pledged significant support of £20,000 and £15,000 respectively.

Chorleywood Common Youth Football Club are the key partner club in the project and contributed £15,000 to the project.

The school’s spokesperson added: “We are thrilled to provide so many local children and families such a wonderful facility in the evenings and weekends.

“The project would not have been possible without the considerable support of the Holborn Estate Charity. Their generosity and commitment to St Clement Danes continues to make a real and lasting difference to young people’s lives and experiences.

“The pitch will provide a fantastic teaching, training and sporting facility for our school and will also be a high-quality asset to be used by local clubs and community groups during the evening, weekend and holiday periods.

“This is an exciting an opportunity for St Clement Danes students on their school journey, who will primarily benefit in having access to such to a high-quality playing surface.”
