CAR COLLISION: Person taken to hospital after crashing into Tesco Superstore in Pinner

A car crashed into the front of Tesco Superstore on Ash Hill Drive in Pinner yesterday evening (Thursday, July 1).

One person was injured, and the building and vehicle were damaged in the collision.

The store was temporarily closed for the evening and the individual was taken to hospital as a priority.

A spokesperson for London Ambulance Service told PINNERnews: “We were called at 4.58pm yesterday (July 1) to reports of a road traffic collision on Ash Hill Drive, Pinner.

“We sent an ambulance crew and a medic in a car. A man was treated at the scene and taken to a hospital as a priority.”

A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police added: “Police were called at 16.58pm on Thursday, July 1 to reports of a vehicle in collision with a building on Ash Hill Drive in Pinner.

“Emergency services attended. One person was taken to hospital for treatment; their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.”

A Tesco spokesperson said: “Last night a car hit the front of our Pinner Superstore. The store is open for customers as normal today. We wish the driver who was involved a full recovery.”

The Tesco Superstore on Ash Hill Drive reopened this morning (Friday, July 2).
