A Garston pub is hosting its fifth annual open darts competition in memory of late bartender Gareth Evans on Sunday, April 30.
The Hammer in Hand in Ganders Ash has held the event every year since Gareth sadly passed away from a heart attack, aged just 38.
Landlord Paul Jeffery said: “It’s always a good day. It’s in memory of Gareth who used to work for us; he was such a popular member of our team and the community. We wanted to do something in his memory. His family are big darts people.”
The winners will receive a cash prize, to be announced on the day, and a trophy. Last year, the top prize was £200, and the runner-up received £75.
The matches will be followed by an official presentation by Gareth’s family and a disco.
Entries must be received by 11am on the day of the competition
