A Garston school’s boys’ team secured a momentous win last month to claim a county cup title.
On Tuesday, April 1, St Michael’s Catholic High School faced The Knights Templar School at Harvesters FC for the prestigious 2025 Willacy Shield.
The Garston side had an impressive run, defeating teams from across Hertfordshire Schools’ FA.
Heading into the final, the boys knew they needed to work their socks off for the win, and after a tense match, they claimed the victory.
A spokesperson for the school headed to their social media and said: “An enormous congratulations to the Year 8 boys football team who won the County Cup final yesterday with an amazing 5-2 victory.
“It was a tense match, but the team thoroughly deserve the success, and we are so proud of them.”
