EMAIL IN: Simple act of kindness in Bushey

Published on: 13th September 2019   |   By: News Desk   |   Category: Uncategorized

It is hard not to get caught up in all the negative news, both locally and nationally, and sometimes, small acts of kindness go unnoticed or forgotten

MyLocalNews want to highlight these unsung heroes that show it’s the little things that count.

Earlier this month, Paul Bogush let his fellow Bushey residents know he would be leaving a big basket of apples outside his porch for people to freely help themselves.

In July, Kerry Nutkins took to Facebook to show the community spirit of Bushey helping to save a duck’s ducklings from a drain.

Jackie Braddock found a young girls oyster card and spent her day ringing schools until she found the owner.

Bushey resident, Alison Mann, is a trustee of a charity named Small Acts of Kindness and they run projects throughout the year in the Hertfordshire area.

She said: “The projects we run include warm in winter bags for the elderly, Christmas gifts for the elderly and we have residents who are ambassadors who help locate and recommend vulnerable elderly residents who are in need of our service.”

To get involved with helping, email frances@smallactsofkindness.co.uk or for more information visit their Facebook page @SmallActsOfKindness.
