Ten schools from across Croxley, Chorleywood and Rickmansworth gathered at Cassiobury Farm on Tuesday, June 27, to take part in a specially convened Eco Forum.
Pupils from Yorke Mead, York House, Harvey Road, Little Green, Croxley Danes, Malvern Way, Rickmansworth Park JMI, St Mary’s, Chorleywood and Arnett Hills JMI were all in attendance.
At a previous event held by Yorke Mead earlier in the school year, the children took part in workshops on the theme of sustainability.
At the most recent event, following a short tour of Cassiobury Farm, the pupils gave an update on the projects their schools had been working on, with a vote at the end to decide who had the best one. The winner was Croxley school Yorke Mead.
Speaking to Croxley News, the Yorke Mead team said: “Our eco councillors enjoyed attending the Eco Forum last year. They found it inspirational and thought-provoking.
“We are encouraging future generations to protect their environment and to think eco-friendly. We are proud to be the Eco Forum champions!”
