Published on: 19th April 2019   |   By: News Bulletin   |   Category: Uncategorized

Detectives investigating a burglary in Croxley Green have released an e-fit of a suspect they would like to identify.

It happened in Green Lane at 4.50pm on Wednesday, March 27.

The victim, a man in his 90s, was with his daughter in the living room of his home when they heard a noise.

The daughter went to investigate and came across a man looking through some coats that were hung in the hallway.

She challenged the man before pushing him out of the unlocked side door, which it is believed he used to enter the property. He ran off in the direction of The Green.

When he had gone, the daughter checked her father’s coat pocket and realised his wallet had been taken.

Investigator Rahul Thaker, from the Three Rivers Local Crime Unit, said: “We are keen to identify the man pictured and would like to speak to anyone who knows someone who matches his description.

“We would also like to speak to anyone who saw a person matching his description in the area of The Green/Green Lane at the time of the offence.”

If you can help, please contact Rahul on rahul.thaker@herts.pnn.police.uk, report information online at herts.police.uk/Report or speak to an operator in our Force Communications Room via online web chat, quoting reference 41/28342/19.
