It was a hard fought match by Hemel Hempstead Town today (August 31) where they had to settle with 1-1 against Dartford FC at Princes Park Stadium.
The Tudors got out of the starting blocks early thanks to Sam Ashford putting the opposition’s defence under pressure early on and scoring within the first 10 minutes of the game in front of 961 fans.
The referee awarded the opposition a penalty after a player was brought down in the box, however Sam Beasant delivered a quality save down to his right hand post.
By half time, The Tudors were in the lead 1-0 through Sam Ashford’s early goal and Sam Beasant’s exceptional save to deny Dartford FC an equaliser from the spot. Before the second half, The Tudors substituted Craig Barham-Barrett for Alex Wall.
After the 50th minute, The Tudors take off Liam Nash for Ricardo German. The opposition begin to apply pressure which saw Tyrone Sterling put the ball out for a corner.
Just before the game was up, Norman Wabo equalised in the 84th minute, to make the score 1-1.
