Watford Borough Council’s Museum invites you to discover the town’s rich heritage with special free events and openings.
Residents will be able to visit, go on tours and take part in walks to discover many hidden gems from September 6 to 9 and September 13 to September 16.
Elected Mayor of Watford Peter Taylor said: “It’s wonderful to be able to host these free open days to celebrate our rich culture and heritage. Watford has an interesting history and there is no better opportunity than the open days to come along and see this for yourself. Many of the tours give residents the chance to visit buildings in our town that you would not normally have access to.”
You will be able to take a tour of Grade II* listed Little Cassiobury House, as well as visit Hertfordshire Fire Brigade Museum and Fire Station, Nascot Conservation Area, Watford Colosseum, Pump House, Watford Palace Theatre and many, many others.
Please note that booking is necessary for some of the tours. Pick up a copy of the free brochure listing all of the free events and open days taking place from the Customer Service Centre at the Town Hall, Watford Museum or Watford Central Library.
