DIGITAL SKILLS: Event to support Radlett residents who need help with technology

Published on: 11th October 2025   |   By: Naomi Greenaway   |   Category: Uncategorized

System updates, volume buttons and adding items to an online shopping basket can be difficult to understand for those who aren’t familiar with computers.

The Radlett Centre on Aldenham Avenue is hosting a volunteer-run Computers and a Cuppa event to give support to anyone who needs help using technology.

From 10.30am to 12.30pm on Monday, October 27, visitors will be taught how to set up email addresses, how to order online shopping, and how to use online banking effectively.

The sessions are open to all members of the public, and booking is not required.

According to studies from Age UK, one in three over 65s in the UK lack the basic understanding and skills to use the internet successfully.

Further analysis shows that those over 65 who are online often struggle with tasks which are required to thrive in a digital society.
