‘DIFFICULT TO POLICE’: Residents speak out after human waste found in Rickmansworth fly-tip

Published on: 10th March 2025   |   By: Nik Allen   |   Category: Uncategorized

Residents have complained that the hedges along Denham Way in Maple Cross have become a hotspot for fly-tipping.

Alan Beresford took to Facebook after he discovered that rubbish dumped in the area now included human waste.

He said: “We understand this kind of activity is difficult to police and have suggested installing CCTV to catch the perpetrators, and bins so waste can be disposed of appropriately.”

Mr Beresford noted the area had only been used for unauthorised waste disposal for the past six months, and that waste included food, packaging, cans, clothes, nappies, and toilet rolls. Large rats had also been seen feeding in the area by walkers and cyclists.

He encouraged the public to share his Facebook post to raise awareness and report fly-tipping at www.shorturl.at/njsRr

A spokesperson for Three Rivers District Council said: “The campervan has now moved on and we will be sending a cleansing team to clear up the waste and rubbish.”
